Lee was hooked on Yoga from her very first class in Byron Bay and began teaching in Thailand in 1996. She had spent many years doing various forms of movement but had never experienced the immersion and connections that yoga offered, nor had she ever felt the depth of possibilities that she felt when tuning in to herself through the ancient art and science of yoga. Her interest took her all over South East Asia, Nepal and India, studying and practicing with a range of quirky and knowledgeable yogis.
While living in Thailand, Lee studied, practised and taught Thai Massage, incorporating another means to connect with our glorious bodies and the diverse strengths and challenges within them. On returning to Australia, Lee completed a Yoga Arts teacher training and hasn’t stopped training since.
Lee primarily teaches a vinyasa, flowing style and wants everyone to experience greater ease, fluidity and strength in their body, mind and spirits.
Lee is influenced by Donna Farhi, Judith Lasater and a range of Anusara teachers. Lee is passionate about making yoga accessible to every-body. Lee also teaches Laughter Yoga and needs the joy of it to remember not to take herself or life so seriously…
Lee has taught in Hobart for almost 20 years, and offers workshops and retreats in Southern Tasmania. Lee is a primary school teacher who delights in her work at The Cottage School in Bellerive, where the kids challenge all her ideas of presence and calm!
