Jeanette discovered the goodness of yoga at 40 years of age and quickly realised that it’s never too late to make a positive difference to how we move, think, and feel.  She continues to be inspired every day through practicing yoga. She has found yoga to be a heartening support in times of transition over the years given the range of practices to nurture and restore the body and mind.

 

While offering painting classes to residents at a local nursing home, she realised that yoga could assist people to play longer.  This inspired her to undertake further training in the area of Yoga for ageing well and consequently share that yoga practice.

 

Her teachers have included – Ruth Campbell (Healthy Ageing through Yoga), Maria Kirsten (Yoga for Grownups), and Robyn Lewis (Yoga Enlightenment and Chair Yoga Professional development for teachers).  She also draws on the wealth of knowledge offered by such teachers as Dr Baxter Bell (Yoga for Healthy Aging) and Jivana Heyman, with whom she completed Accessible Yoga Teacher training in July 2020.

 

 

Assisting students to develop a practice that meets their current needs while continually evolving to support their future requirements brings Jeanette much joy and satisfaction.  She is looking forward to sharing this enriching practice with you.
